If you don't have a domain yet, follow this guide first.

Sign in to your Porkbun account.
Click the "Details" button next to the domain you are looking to modify.
Find the Authoritative Nameservers section and click the "Edit" button.

Replace the first nameserver option with ns1.demonbolthost.com. Then, replace the second nameserver with as ns2.demonbolthost.com. Set the third as ns3.demonbolthost.com, and finally the fourth as ns4.demonbolthost.com. Remove any other nameservers.

Click "Submit" to save the changes

How to login to SFTP

The file manager is great for editing config files quickly, uploading a small number of plugins, and uploading compressed zips of files that you can later decompress in the file manager. Though, it doesn't support directly uploading uncompressed folders and has an upload limit of 1GB.

In order to upload more than 1GB of data and also upload uncompressed folders, you will need to access the SFTP server. Doing so is quite simple, but maybe confusing the first time you need to access it.

||| NOTE: You will need to install an SFTP client such as FileZilla or WinSCP. The process is similar on all SFTP clients; we will be using FileZilla in this tutorial.

In the navigation bar, click Settings. This page is where your server's SFTP information is located The menu will look like this and is numbered/labeled below:

This is the port of the SFTP server
This is the username for your server
This is the unique ID of your server

These credentials will let you connect to the SFTP server with any SFTP client. As stated earlier, we will be using FileZilla. The image below shows what the details look like after being entered into the quickconnect bar:

Visit the Porkbun domain search page.
Type your desired name into the box (ex. demonbolthost), and select the extension you want (ex. .com).
Click the checkout button that appears, or select as many domains as you want, and then click the cart in the top right.
Ensure everything is spelled correctly, then click "Continue to Billing"
Select your payment method and pay.

Once your domain has gone through, you will need to connect it to our servers, which you can do by following this guide.

Can I have multiple domains?

Yes, you can! cPanel supports add-on domains, which means you can have multiple websites connected to 1 package.

What is an add-on domain?

An add-on domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Think of it as having multiple hosting packages that all share the same control panel. You can create email addresses, forwarders and more—the same way you do for your primary domain on the account. The only difference is that the files share the same control panel and server.

How does an add-on domain work?

When creating an add-on domain, three things happen:

a folder is created in the public_html directory
a subdomain is created for the primary domain and attached to the new folder
the new domain name is associated with the subdomain

For example, if you have the primary domain example.com and you assign the add-on domain example123.com to the folder "example123," the following URLs would be correct:

example.com/example123
example123.example.com
example123.com

All three of these paths would access the same directory and show the same website. For visitors going to example123.com, there is no evidence that they are being routed through example123.example.com.

Please note that add-on domains need to be registered and point to our servers in order to function.

How to create email forwarders in cPanel

Now that you know the difference between a regular email account and an email forwarder, here's how to set up an email forwarder:

Login to cPanel
Click the Forwarders icon in the Mail section
Click Add Forwarder.
In the Address to Forward text box, enter the address for which you wish to forward incoming email and select the desired domain from the menu.
Select one of the following options:

Forward to email address - Select this option to forward incoming email to another address. Enter the address to which you wish to forward email in the text box.
Discard and send an error to the sender (at SMTP time) - Select this option to discard incoming email and automatically send a failure notice to the sender. Enter the desired failure message in the Failure Message text box.
Click Advanced Options to view the following additional options:
Forward to a system account - Select this option to forward incoming email to a system user. Enter the desired username in the text box.
Pipe to a program - To automatically forward incoming email to a program, enter a path to the program, relative to the account's home directory (for example, utilities/support.pl) in the text box. For more information, read the Pipe to a Program cPanel documentation.

A subdomain is a domain that is a part of a main domain. It's a unique website with a unique URL, but it's still attached to the main domain. For example, my.demonbolthost.com is a subdomain of demonbolthost.com.

You don't have to pay for subdomains, as they are just an extension of a domain you already paid for, but be mindful of the amount of storage that each of your subdomains can take up as it counts towards your quota.

There are many uses for a subdomain. If you wish to have a separate site for your store while still connected to your main domain, you could use shop.example.com or use forums.example.com if you want to have a forum panel for your users.
